- Tesla says the Semi line is now running at up to 1,000 trucks a week, with a Sparks, Nevada factory rated for 50,000 electric trucks a year. Cells built at Gigafactory Texas are loaded automatically onto the Semi line with no human touch point, per the company's Semi program director.
- Named customers and fleet commitments include PepsiCo, DHL and US Foods, plus 500 Semis for Einride across freight corridors in Texas, California, New Jersey, Illinois and Georgia. Tesla is the primary OEM for the first 2,500 trucks in what it calls the largest U.S. electric truck order to date, with Microsoft and PepsiCo among the shippers behind it.
- Tesla did not disclose Semi pricing. A 500-mile loaded-range Semi reportedly sells for $300,000 and a 300-mile version for about $260,000, against $130,000-$300,000 for new diesel trucks that carry 1,000-1,500 miles of range.
- Q2 2026 preliminary operational metrics: 451,758 vehicles produced, 480,126 delivered, and 13.5 GWh of energy storage deployed. Model 3/Y accounted for 467,762 deliveries and other models 12,364. Financial results are due July 22, 2026.
- Tesla's Full Self-Driving system is under federal investigation over performance in low visibility conditions and multiple traffic safety violations, and the company has been ordered to submit internal evaluation documents and requested deadline extensions. Musk said self-driving features will be available on Semi.
