NVDA Q2 blowout fades on circular financing

X discussionyesterday

Nvidia printed record Q2 revenue of $96.2B and guided 70% growth through FY2028, then added over $400B in market cap in one session. The stock gave back about 4.5% the next day as traders focused on customer financing loops, a reported pause of AI-cloud revenue-sharing deals covering $36B of commitments, and guided margin compression from rising memory costs. The tape is pricing whether AI demand still sets a supply-constrained floor or whether Nvidia is funding too much of its own revenue.

BullAI demand still outruns supply and Nvidia just reset the multi-year growth floor. Q2 revenue hit $96.2B, up 106% YoY, Q3 is guided to $108B, and management put FY2028 revenue growth at 70% against prior Street expectations nearer 45%.

BearNvidia is financing the companies that buy its chips, and that circular loop is the real risk under the print. A reported pause on $36B of AI-cloud revenue-sharing commitments, rising DSOs, and guided gross-margin compression from memory costs drove the fade after the $400B pop.
