EPA grants 1.76 billion biofuel-credit waivers to small refiners

The EPA granted small refinery exemptions from U.S. biofuel blending requirements totaling 1.76 billion renewable fuel credits for the 2025 compliance year.
The exemption volume was nearly double the amount the agency initially expected to waive.
